Originated from the iconic record store, Santa Cata, located in Palma de Mallorca, Santa Cata Records ventures into the music label industry with its first release, “Future Homosapiens Vol.1”.
Established three years ago, the store has swiftly evolved into a thriving center for local artists and a must-visit destination for DJs seeking musical gems. Given the dynamic and prolific nature of the local music scene, venturing into the realm of record labels was the next logical step.
The initial EP showcases a diverse group of artists residing in Mallorca. Notably, internationally recognized musicians Dani Casarano and Hamid, who have already established their presence on the island, as well as homegrown talents such as Dojo Zone and Halbert.
The record places significant emphasis on captivating the dancefloor, presenting a blend of forward-thinking contemporary sounds infused with nostalgic influences. Focusing on the A2 – Posedonia – from Dojo Zone, the British producer presents a floating and aquatic feel-like deep and groovy number with a very catchy melody that is sure to get stuck in your head. The track serves as a true testament to his sound, drawing inspiration from various genres such as House, Bleep, Techno and more.
