Tell me about your musical roots

My music journey started with some legendary rock bands, but later I got into the simple rhythms and sounds of post-punk and shoegaze bands like Joy Division, Motorama, and Deerhunter. When I was 16, I discovered Chengdu’s amazing electronic music scene, with Club TAG being where it all began for me. Then DJ Masda came along he was the first DJ to inspire me to find my own style in electronic dance music. This led me to start my own events in China, called Circular Imagination, to share the music I love.

What is your favourite place to dig and why?

I’d really recommend Palace Vinyl in the UK. It’s in Crystal Palace, just outside of London, and run by some proper music lovers. You can find their address on Instagram. Online, Discogs and Bandcamp are the best places to look.

What do you listen to when you want to chill?

When I want to relax, I like listening to New Jazz, Experimental Electronic, Ambient, and IDM. I often play Boards of Canada, Rejoicer, and Nerve.

Can you share with me your favourite podcast at the moment?

Lately, I’ve been enjoying podcasts like Fuera De Caja #001 NIFF and Kashwar-Cartulis Podcast 060.
