Smooth Operators, the collaborative project of French producers Lamalice and Massai, strikes once again with a themed track “a-la-batman”, this time representing Sentaku, as part of the various compilation “Velvet Union”, an initiative pioneered by Charonne with the aim of joining the dots and representing the most prolific Parisian labels. The record is set to be released on Record Store Day 2024.
The track, titled It's a G(otham) Thang, captures the duo signature style - dark, intriguing yet playful and groovy. Some eerie vocal samples spice things up, adding to the mystery and atmosphere of the tune. The Dark Knight would indeed be proud of this one.
